The InbeTWEENers Club
Tuesday, October 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the Friends Room
Tweens in grades 4th - 8th are invited to join the monthly InbeTWEENers Club! Tweens will participate in activities meant to build friendships, self-esteem and life skills. This month, tweens will work together to solve an escape room. No registration is necessary.
Sensory Storytime
Wednesday, October 4, 4:30 p.m. in the Storytime Room
Sensory Storytime is an inclusive storytime experience specifically for children ages 3 and older with autism or other sensory processing challenges. Children and their families will hear stories, sing songs, and enjoy free play time. Registration is required as space is limited. Choose Your Own Book Club
Wednesday, October 11 at 3:30 p.m. in the Friends Room
In this monthly program, kids ages 7-12 will read a book of their choice based on a theme or genre. This month’s theme is mystery books! Kids will practice public speaking, participate in activities based on the theme, and discuss what they’ve read. Visit our Choose Your Own Book Club booklist for some recommended mysteries!
Art Zone
Thursday, October 12 at 3:30 p.m. in the Friends Room
Kids ages 5-12 will create masterpieces based on the work of famous artists. This month kids will create a pictorial weaving after Anni Albers. No registration is necessary, but materials will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
Music & Movement
Friday, October 13 at 10 a.m. in the Friends Room
Join Children’s Services staff for music, movement and dancing! This monthly program is for children of all ages and their caregivers.
Spanish Bilingual Storytime
Saturday, October 21, 3 p.m. in the Storytime Room
Families are invited to join us for Spanish bilingual storytime, where they will hear books, sing songs and learn vocabulary. Children of all ages and language abilities are welcome.
STEAM Train
Friday, October 27 at 1 p.m. in the Friends Room
STEAM is STEM plus Art! Children ages 3-5 will spark their imaginations with activities and sensory play that encourage exploration and innovation. This month, we will explore shapes and patterns by weaving popsicle stick spider webs. All aboard! All materials will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. No registration is required.
