City Playground Replacements

Project Manager: Peter ShiauStart Date: Fall 2023End Date: Winter 2024

Construction

This project consists of replacing the current playground equipment, site preparation, concrete work, and installation of specialized rubberized surfacing at Bella Vista, Garvey Ranch, Highlands, and Sequoia Parks. New playground equipment will help to improve public safety by replacing aging equipment and repairing any additional issues with the playground equipment or the surrounding areas. The unique designs of each themed playground will help to enhance the usage of the playground users' imagination and foster interaction among the youth in the community. The City is working on completing the work as quickly and safely as possible to minimize the impact to the park visitors.

On August 16, 2023 the City awarded a contract to R.E. Schultz Construction, Inc. in the amount of $986,149 for the construction phase of the project.

Schedule

The project is scheduled to begin in Fall 2023 and is expected to be completed by Winter 2024.
