Board Information

The Board is created to advise the Planning Commission or City Council regarding high quality design standards in building and development projects in order to conserve and maintain the aesthetic value of the community, to encourage the most appropriate use of land, and to maintain a proper relationship between the taxable value of real property and the cost of providing municipal services.

Members of the Design Review Board may either be residents of the city or persons maintaining a business license in the city and it is recommended members have a background as an architect, planner, landscape architect, civil engineer building contractor, or a practicing licensed electrician
