Traffic Commission

The Traffic Commission reviews traffic issues and recommends any needed changes. Issues range from traffic safety matters to parking restrictions that may be the result of a citizen’s request or a staff recommendation. The commission also makes recommendations to the city council for installation of stop signs and amendments to the municipal code for traffic related items that may ease traffic congestion and help facilitate transportation throughout the city.

The commission consists of five members. Each of the five council members shall nominate one member who serves at the pleasure of the city council.  Members on this commission must be a Monterey Park resident.

The public may submit a written communication to upcoming meetings by completing an online written communication request form.  Written communication must be submitted 24 hours in advance for regular meetings and 3 hours in advance for special meetings.
