  • The Cascades' mission is to publish official City of Monterey Park governmental information. It is not a general circulation newspaper and does not feature articles of a general character.
  • City of Monterey Park articles and media are written and produced by various city department staff.
  • Due to monthly deadlines, events or programs that have not been confirmed or finalized by deadline might not be included in a particular issue. Please visit our other media channels for additional announcements or postings.
  • Twice a year, in August and January, the Cascades newspaper is on hiatus and not published. Articles are combined with the previous month's issue.
  • Cascades does not accept unsolicited articles or news releases. The Cascades is not a court adjudicated newspaper of general publication and does not publish legal notices such as fictitious name statements, etc. For a list of general circulation newspapers, we suggest you visit the LA County Clerk's website.
  • Alhambra Unified School District has an agreement with Success Printing to utilize a number of pages. The district is completely responsible for their content.
  • The Cascades is delivered to Monterey Park residents and businesses via US Post Office bulk mail delivery. If you are not receiving your copy on a regular basis, please contact your mail carrier or the Monterey Park Post Office at 626-288-2764.
  • Copies of the Cascades may be available, supplies permitting, at city hall, the library and senior center. The Cascades is not available by mail, other than to residents by the US Mail bulk mail process above.
