MPK Spring Egg Hunt
Event Details
Let the hunt begin! On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Recreation & Community Services Department invites you and your family to Barnes Park to search for eggs. Over 20,000 eggs will be scattered throughout the field for kids to find! Attendees will also be able to enjoy free carnival games and a special appearance from Peter Rabbit.
To ensure a smooth and organized experience, all participants must have a wristband to join their designated age group egg hunt. WRISTBANDS ARE FREE. We encourage all participants to pre-register and pick up their wristbands prior to the event to avoid lines. Same-day registration will be available for a limited amount of wristbands.
Wristband Registration Rules
Please carefully read the following rules regarding wristband registration for the Monterey Park Spring Egg Hunt 2026:
- Wristbands Required for Big Hoppers (Ages 4 and Up)
Wristbands are required for Big Hoppers (ages 4 and up) to participate in their designated age group egg hunt. - Pre-Registration is Strongly Encouraged
To avoid lines and guarantee participation, pre-registration allows you to pick up your wristband before the event. Spaces are limited to 500 participants per age group. Pre-registration will open on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 8:00 AM. - Wristband Pick-Up Options
Pre-registered participants can pick up their wristbands Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, beginning Monday, March 16- Wednesday, March 25 at the Langley Center (400 W. Emerson Ave.) Early wristband pick-up is strongly encouraged. - Same-day Registration and Wristband Pick-Up
Participants who do not pick up their wristbands by March 25, or who do not Pre-register will find their designated wristband line for their child’s age group. A limited number of wristbands will be available the day of the event. Same-day registration will be available for a limited number of wristbands, starting at 4:00 PM at Barnes Park. - Wristbands Not Required for Little Bunnies (Ages 0-3)
Little Bunnies (ages 0-3) do not need wristbands to participate in their egg hunt. The Little Bunnies egg hunt will take place from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM in the Patio Area between Barnes Gym and Tennis Courts. Eggs collected by Little Bunnies can be redeemed for a prize after the hunt. Please ensure that you attend the egg hunt that corresponds to the wristband’s age group. Wristbands are color-coded and specific to the following age groups:- 4-6 years @ 5:00 PM – [Click here for 4-6 years]
- 7-9 years @ 5:45 PM – [Click here for 7-9 years]
- 10-12 years @ 6:30 PM – [Click here for 10-12 years]
Important: To keep all our bunnies safe, if you miss your allocated time slot, you will not be allowed to join a different age group. Please plan accordingly to arrive on time for your child’s egg hunt.
Egg Hunt Details - Designated times for each age group
- Little Bunnies - 0-3 years old @ 4:30 PM - 6 PM
- Located in Patio Area (North of Tennis/Pickleball Courts)
- Each participant is allowed only one entrance into the 0-3 egg hunt area.
- A maximum of 2 parents/guardians are allowed in the patio with each participant.
- Each participant will collect up to 5 eggs that they will redeem for one prize upon exiting the egg hunt area. (Limited quantity of prizes available.)
- Big Hoppers (No adults allowed in the fenced area)
Located in Barnes Park Field- 4-6 years old @ 5:00 PM
- 7-9 years old @ 5:45 PM
- 10-12 years old @ 6:30 PM
- Eggs will contain prizes (candy, toys, etc.)
